Fall-Free Future Project
The Fall-Free Future project was launched in the London Borough of Sutton on Thursday 19th February to raise awareness and promote practical ways to prevent falls. The initiative aims to help residents live safely, confidently, and independently.
Funded by Sutton Council Prevention Pilot, the project brings together health professionals and community partners to support fall prevention through education and community engagement.
The launch event featured expert speakers including Joseph Jeffers, CEO of ASKI; Rosemary Elston-Smith, Principal Occupational Therapist and Sensory Specialist; Councillor Marian James; Sharon Gardner, Naturopathic Nutritionist; and Razia Sattar, Head of Partnerships at Community Action Sutton.
Councillor Marian James said:
"I am excited to see the launch of the Fall-Free Future project and proud that it is built on a strong partnership between Global Majority charities in Sutton. This collaboration shows our shared commitment to supporting residents and reducing health inequalities."
Fall-Free Future will continue to deliver awareness activities, practical resources, and community support to help residents stay active, independent, and safe.
Together, we are working toward a Fall-Free Future.
